Quality and service have been the foundation of operations for Daltons Wadkin over the past 120 years. With successful accreditation to ISO 14001:2015, environmental sustainability has been added to the company mantra.
The ISO 14001 is an internationally agreed standard requiring effective demonstration that a systematic approach has been taken by a company to prevent pollution and to have processes in place to manage environmental risk. Once in place, the management system provides an organisation with a framework to continually evaluate, implement and test itself against key environmental objectives.
“This is a significant milestone for our company, reflecting our ambition to promote ethical leadership in the industry," says Alex Dalton, Managing Director at Daltons Wadkin. "The environmental benefits of using wood in manufacturing are well known. As suppliers of industrial woodworking machinery, I see it as our responsibility to support the supply chain with equipment and services delivered in an equally sustainably way”.
The ISO 14001 environmental standard dovetails with the ISO 9001 quality management system that Daltons Wadkin have been operating for over 25 years. Looking forward, the company’s ambition is to achieve PAS 2060 carbon neutrality by 2025 and further contribute to the long-term stability of life on Earth.
