Celebrating 75 Years of the Irish Exporters Association

Combilift was proud to sponsor and attend the Irish Exporters Association’s 75th Anniversary Luncheon in Dublin, joining industry leaders to celebrate 75 years of supporting Irish exporters and recognising the strength, ambition and global reach of Irish business.

The anniversary event marked 75 years of the Irish Exporters Association supporting, representing and championing Irish exporters. Over the decades, the Association has played an important role in bringing businesses together, encouraging international growth and helping Irish companies strengthen their presence in markets around the world.

The luncheon provided an  opportunity to reflect on that contribution while also looking ahead to the future of Irish exporting. It brought together people from a wide range of industries and created a valuable setting for discussion, networking and the exchange of ideas.

There was a strong sense of momentum throughout the event, with conversations highlighting both the achievements of Irish businesses to date and the opportunities that continue to emerge internationally. For companies operating in global markets, occasions such as this are an important reminder of the value of collaboration, strong industry networks and a shared commitment to innovation and growth.

A particular highlight of the event was hearing from keynote speakers Simon Harris and Norah Patten, who shared their experiences, perspectives and insights with those in attendance. Their contributions added to an engaging programme and offered plenty of food for thought about Ireland’s ambitions, its international outlook and the importance of continuing to create opportunities for Irish organisations on the global stage.

"For Combilift, supporting the event was especially meaningful," said the company. "From our headquarters in Monaghan, we have grown into a global business, with our material handling solutions used by customers across a wide range of industries and international markets. Exporting has been central to that journey, giving us a strong appreciation for the work carried out by organisations that help Irish companies connect, grow and compete internationally.

"Ireland has built a strong reputation for entrepreneurship, manufacturing, innovation and international trade. Maintaining and strengthening that reputation depends on businesses continuing to invest in new ideas, develop relationships and respond to the changing needs of customers and markets around the world.

"The Irish Exporters Association has helped provide a platform for those conversations for 75 years, bringing together businesses with a shared ambition to succeed internationally. Reaching such a significant anniversary is an achievement worth recognising and an opportunity to acknowledge the people and organisations that have contributed to its work throughout that time."
