A Flitwick businessman, who’s carving a name for himself in the bespoke furniture business, is taking another step towards growth with the opening of his first showroom.
The move by Christian Blake’s Furniture is the latest success for owner Christian Blake who has seen his hand-made bespoke furniture business grow as the demand for high quality kitchens and bespoke accessories has become a popular interior choice for the family home.
Now, he’s investing further in the business he runs alongside his partner Kate Lawrence to meet strong demand from customers who want to be able to browse the latest designs before picking their bespoke kitchen.
The new kitchen showroom features a range of traditional and contemporary designs which are all handcrafted and built in Christian’s workshop, which is located next door.
The furniture maker, who draws on his skills as a trained craftsman, works with the finest timbers and wood veneers to create, build and install kitchens to a customer’s precise requirements, ensuring each installation is tailor-made.
New showroom services will include interior design consultancy expertise from Kate who will be drawing on her skills to advise clients about colours choices and styles.
As economic confidence returns and customers look to invest in their properties, Christian believes the time is right to ramp-up the business and is targeting customers across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
There he sees strong demand from affluent homeowners looking for highly individual furniture to add more value to their properties
“There’s no better time to be investing in my business,” said Christian. “People are once again looking to spend on their properties and we want to make sure they can see what we have to offer in a comfortable and eye-catching environment. Customers can visit and browse our showroom before handpicking their own unique design before it’s made in our workshop by highly skilled craftsmen.”
