Larger facility enables Masterwood to show both new and used options

“Since moving to our new premises, we have been able to deal directly in secondhand Masterwood CNC machines,” explains Dave Kennard, Masterwood GB MD.

“When we take in machines as trade-ins from existing customers, we usually have the full service history, and can have one of our experienced technicians give the machines a thorough overhaul. We take great care to ensure all secondhand machines sold by Masterwood GB are in good working condition, with full safety regulations, so they continue working for many more years.

“We currently have two secondhand long-bed machines in our workshop – a project 400L and an Atlas KL – with more due to be available in the coming months.

“As well as secondhand machines, we also have showroom demonstration machines available, all under six months old, but still with a full year’s warranty from Masterwood from the time of installation. These will be available at discounted prices, and benefit from a fast delivery time.”

The current range of showroom machines includes a Project 385L – a full five-axis, long-bed CNC with a vertical and horizontal drilling head. It is fitted with a waste conveyor and the ability to hold up to 43 tools.

There is also an MW 12.25 flat-bed nesting machine – an entry-level machine ideal for cabinet and panel  production, with a bed size of 2500 x 1250mm, a vertical router, vertical and horizontal drilling head and automatic toolchanger.

In addition, Masterwood has a Speedy ll drilling machine on show – the smallest CNC Masterwood manufactures. It is a fixed-specification drilling machine with a vertical router and automatic toolchanger, and the option to add an aggregate head.

All the machines come with the basic Masterwood operating software, but any of the specialised, dedicated packages – including the Lamello jointing system package – can be added.

All are currently available for demonstration, with more machines due in from Italy later this year. Demonstrations are available on a range of products, including solid core doors, windows, stairs, cabinets and specials.

“For further information on the CNC machines we have available, or to book a visit to our Gatwick showroom, contact us by phone or by email,” says Dave. “All Covid-19 precautions are still being kept in place for any visitors to our showroom, which we limit to one customer at a time to keep everyone safe.”
