Leading British kitchen, bathroom ad bedroom furniture manufacturer, Mereway Kitchens, has won a prestigious business award, beating off competition to take TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands’ Business Masters Awards for Manufacturer (SME) of the Year.
This win makes it two recent gongs as Mereway also won at the Made in the Midlands Awards – coming first in the Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year category.
The award was made following an interview at a gala awards evening which was hosted by BBC news reporter Sarah Falkland.
The judges said that Mereway re-assessed its entire operation during the recession and introduced a three-point plan which included staff development, effective use of machinery and assistance to retailers.
Sales and marketing director, Graham Jones, says, “Mereway is pleased and proud to be recognised for our achievements with these awards. We have continued to innovate and invest during the recession, ensuring that Mereway remains a strong and successful market leading company.”
As a Made in the Midlands award winner, Mereway goes forward to The Made in the UK Awards which will be held in Liverpool on 21st July.
