Scott+Sargeant open days to focus on windows

Scott+Sargeant Woodworking Machinery, based in Horsham, West Sussex, will be holding a two-day Focus on Windows event over 20th-21st November featuring equipment from Martin, Whitehill and Vertongen.

The Scott+Sargeant team will again be demonstrating rapid production of windows using the Whitehill HP System on the Martin T27 spindle moulder and the Vertongen Pentho tenoner. It will be showing, in detail, the ease of making window profiles with zero set up tools on the Martin, and linking this to tenoning on the Vertongen.

The Martin T27 is a state-of-the-art spindle acknowledged as probably the best spindle moulder available – fast and flexible with its intuitive touch screen interface. The machines will be using Whitehills Window Tooling System, to demonstrate the ease of manufacturing windows. The speed of production and accuracy needs to be seen to be believed –  at the last demonstrations it was doing three tool changes and set-ups to produce a cill extension in under four minutes. This is a time saving that makes sense to any busy manufactuer – how much time could they be saving?

In the last window session, held in June, more than 50 people attended along with the manufacturers – and Scott +Sargeant's Paul Charnaud says: “It was an excellent exchange of ideas for everyone, giving new ideas on producing joinery, windows and doors. We will also have the other Martin machines on display for visitors to test out.”

Scott+Sargeant will be running three demonstrations each day in the Horsham showrooom at 10am, 12am and 2pm. Those interested are invited to call Scott+Sargeant to reserve a space.
