3C Gruppe acquires DOMO Collection

The 3C Gruppe is taking over the upholstered furniture brand DOMO Collection with effect from 1 November 2026 and will continue to operate it as an independent company.

The newly established Domo Collection Sp. z o.o., based in Psarskie, Poland, a subsidiary of 3C Holding GmbH, is acquiring, by way of an asset deal, the operations of the insolvent DOMO Collection GmbH, Hude, as well as the production operations of its Polish subsidiary Oflor Sp. z o.o. With DOMO Collection, the Group is gaining a brand with its own product range and distribution channels.

The 3C Gruppe is successfully established in the national and international brick-and-mortar furniture retail sector with its brands Candy, Candy Sleep and Carina, and is also represented in the online retail sector. DOMO Collection has long-standing, stable customer relationships in e-commerce and thus complements the 3C Gruppe’s business portfolio.

Both business divisions will be managed with their own distinct market positioning, distribution channels and customer relationships.

“We deliberately pursue different business strategies for our established brands and for DOMO Collection," says Carl-Christoph Held, Managing Director of the 3C Gruppe. "The clear positioning of the individual brands and sales channels is a key factor in our success. This enables us to consistently develop our long-standing partnerships with the furniture retail sector whilst simultaneously tapping into additional market potential.”

Production and customer service will continue

A key component of the takeover is the retention of the Psarskie production site. Upholstered furniture manufacturing there will continue under the umbrella of the new company. Staff at the site will be retained, ensuring that existing expertise in production and product development is preserved. Customer support will continue to be provided by a sales office in Hude, which will act as the central point of contact. Production, as well as operational and commercial processes, will in future be consolidated at the Polish site. The existing product range, with its focus on the requirements of online and mail-order retail, as well as the established customer and supplier relationships, will remain the foundation of the business. The DOMO Collection brand will retain its independent positioning.

Focus on continuity and stability

The acquisition forms part of the 3C Gruppe’s long-term growth strategy; the Group has continuously expanded and further developed its production capacities and business processes over the past decades. The new subsidiary will benefit from the 3C Gruppe’s experience in the professionalisation and digitalisation of processes, as well as its expertise in the areas of quality, IT systems and customer service.

“We have taken this decision quite deliberately and from a position of corporate stability,” explains Markus Kemming, Managing Director of the 3C Gruppe. “DOMO Collection has potential that we intend to preserve and develop in a targeted manner. Our aim is to ensure long-term success and financially sound development within the 3C Gruppe.”
