Leitz Tooling is holding the next in its series of one-day seminars at SCM Group’s 37,000 sq ft facility and showroom in Nottingham on the 4th September.
This will be the first seminar held by Leitz Tooling to include details on its new British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) window licences for the ThermoTech Window System.
Licences for 18 different variations of energy-rated timber window manufacture can now be purchased from the BFRC through Leitz by any company using the ThermoTech Window System stack tooling.
Leitz’s previous seminars for future-proof thermal window production in London, Leeds and Bristol have been fully-booked – and with companies looking to diversify, keep up-to-date with regulations and seek a competitive advantage, space at the Nottingham seminar is booking fast. The seminars are accredited by the BWF’s woodworking CPD programme.
At SCM’s facility in Nottingham on 4th September, BFRC registered simulator with Leitz, Richard Jacob, will present Leitz’s ThermoTech Window System.
The one-day seminar will also include the British Woodworking Federation (BWF); one of the leading producers of woodworking machinery and systems, SCM Group; Accsys Technologies on Accoya Wood; Teknos Coatings; tailor-made financial solutions provider, Close Brothers Asset Finance; and software supplier to the bespoke joinery market, Joinerysoft. Practical demonstrations will be held in the afternoon.
Leitz ThermoTech Window System is a complete, compliant and scalable system for the manufacture of high quality A-rated thermal windows, which reduces waste and sanding and increases performance and finish. The features and benefits of the ThermoTech Window System mean that all design U-values of the timber windows are 1.4 or better, the designs are expandable for different hinges, and the profiles on the system are easily changed, without needing to purchase extra tools. The system is available in multi-tool or dedicated sets for spindle moulders, tenoners, CNC machine centres and window machines.
Richard Jacob, says: “The system support variations to suit most manufacturers’ individual specifications, and offers flexibility.
“As a low cost, dedicated modular system, it is not only as accessible and as future-proof as we can make it, but includes the support customers might need, be it custom window design or the simulation to BRFC regulations to get the approved all-important A-rating – and now, window licences from the BFRC.”
Leitz sales manager, Brian Maddox, says: “We have removed the burden of design, tooling, set-up and window simulation thermal testing for the energy performance rating; the only things we don’t do is actually performance test the window, or make it.
“Our high quality product is actually one of the most economical solutions in the industry and these seminars give companies the chance to see it in action for themselves.”
Seminar places are charged at £10 per person, which will be donated to local charities.
It will take place at SCM Group UK, Camberley Road, Nottingham, NG6 8GE on 4th September.
