Elements - single source for the furniture Industry

Take a closer look at furniture trade shows in the UK and what do you see? You are sure to find the latest tools and machinery on the market, experience new and innovative technology first hand and be given an opportunity to talk to some of the leading industry experts in the field. But aren’t we missing something?

The answer to this question can be found in the details. You can’t create an end product without using machinery and components in tandem. Each has its own unique purpose, but without one, the other is rendered indifferent. So why does the UK not offer a dedicated components exhibition?

Cue Elements, the new furniture components show for furniture and KBB manufactures, designers, fitters and specifiers. Running alongside the UK’s leading woodworking machinery exhibition, W, which will takes place from the 2nd-5th October at the NEC in Birmingham, Elements is the missing link in the British furniture manufacturing industry. It completes the manufacturing cycle and, by working alongside a long-standing manufacturing and materials exhibition, provides a single source for the furniture industry.

“We’re working to create a show that is truly innovative and an asset to the industry,” explains Element’s events manager, Lisa Campagnola. “Elements boasts its own strong identity and crucially, its own marketing message, giving us the ideal opportunity to create a show that will offer a lasting legacy in the furniture sector.”

To create a show that will prove invaluable to the industry, London-based organisers, Montgomery, have conducted market research and actively spoken to a wide range of industry professionals to create a show that will prove successful in aiding the industry’s growth and development.

“In recent years, furniture components have been overlooked – but they are vital to design and application,” explains Nicola Swaisland, regional sales manager at Tente UK. “We cover a variety of industries so for a company like Tente UK, attending a new show that targets a wider audience will allow us to make our presence greater in the market.”

Predicting more than 8000 visitors over the four-day event, the dynamic visitor range and unique, design-led identity have proven beneficial when attracting exhibitors.

“By creating a dedicated components show that will run alongside W16, it offers attendees a one-stop-shop approach to furniture design. This is a great advantage for companies like us that have many strings to our bow. Elements will give us an opportunity to increase our exposure to the whole UK market and allow us to show the industry what we have to offer.”

Keen to create a fresh approach to trade fairs, the show’s three interactive zones will promote the industry in a new light. Situated alongside the Best Practice Zone and Competition Zone, the show’s Innovation Zone will showcase newly-launched products and innovative design concepts, offering visual stimulation to its visitors and a unique way to engage in the beauty of furniture products.

Ronan Haslette, managing director of wood veneer specialist Merenda, adds: “This new take on a furniture show is guaranteed to bring ideas to life and show visitors just how dynamic wood can be. An exhibition like this will open up endless design possibilities and bring the beauty of wood to life. Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of it?”

The Elements exhibition will be taking place from the 2nd-5th October 2016 at the NEC.
