It’s now less than eight weeks until the NEC opens its doors to this year’s W Exhibition. From the 30th September to 3rd October, the UK’s only woodworking machinery and materials show will play host to over 200 exhibitors showcasing the very latest in woodworking machinery and materials.
Boasting its biggest footprint to date, visitors to the biennial event will be the first to see the latest product launches, technological advancements and innovations to enter the UK market, whilst also being able to talk to the experts first hand and watch machinery and tooling demonstrations throughout the show.
Big names will be returning to the show this September, with leading machinery companies like Biesse, SCM, Homag, Weinig, Felder, Schelling, Daltons Wadkin, AMS, RW Machines and TM Machinery among a solid exhibitor line-up. The W Exhibition will also welcome a host of new exhibitors in 2018. CNC specialists CNC Software Solutions, lifting and handling pro’s Tawi UK and wood joining experts Lamello are just a few of the names making their debuts at the four-day event.
The exhibition will also feature a host of interactive features for visitors including a brand new Education Zone. Run by industry bodies, it will provide support and advice on legislation, health & safety, productivity, careers and apprenticeships within the furniture industry, whilst promoting the importance of young talent in the industry.
Visitors will also have full access to The W Exhibition’s sister show, Elements, which will showcase the very latest furniture trends, design innovations and prototypes for the furniture production and interior design markets. Among its 50-strong line-up, new exhibitors will include leading components manufacturer Blum, décor specialists Alpi SpA, edging experts Karebant, Tece and Kalp as well as finishing professionals, Remmers UK. Many other well-known names – including Crofts & Assinder, Mundy Veneer, BA Components, Hranipex, Rubio Monocoat and Merenda - are also returning to Elements after a successful 2016.
The sister show will also be home to The Elements of Innovation Zone, a dedicated area that provides visitors with an opportunity to see some of the most groundbreaking products and design concepts to enter the marketplace. Open to all exhibitors, a winning product will be judged in advance by a panel of industry experts and awarded a prestigious prize at the show.
Lisa Campagnola, event director adds, “This year, we have been exploring new avenues in a bid to represent the whole industry and emulate the success our exhibitors had in 2016. By working closely with our leading companies, show partners and industry associations, we have been able to create a show that offers real value and substance. We are excited to welcome new companies, introduce new exhibition features and, by creating informative and supportive features within the show.
